With which mast?
PURE foils can be fitted with all the masts in the AFS range. However, we recommend the Performer or UHM masts in order to exploit the full potential of the PURE Foil set.
Construction
Use of a Carbon / Kevlar combination in UHM (Ultra High Modulus) carbon allows to optimize the section and to give a very light, strong and stiff foil.
What is included?
PURE foils are sold complete with a full protective cover.
AFS Advanced stabilizer
Small stabs to complete your Pure foil:
- 145: excellent glide/pumping with control – ideal program: freeride/freerace (Surface 145 cm2 | Wingspan: 350 mm)
- 150: to provide maneuverability while maintaining excellent pumping ability – ideal program: freeride/waveriding (Surface 150 cm2 | Wingspan: 325 mm)
- HA135: to provide more glide during your downwind sessions with the Pure 800 – available mid-May (Surface 135 cm2)
- HA 165: to provide more glide during your downwind sessions with the Pure 1100 – available mid-April (Surface 165 cm2)
Full carbon construction
Also adaptable to other fuselages of the AFS range (Performer or Alpha).
AFS Adanced Ultra High Modulus Mast
Within the AFS Advanced range, now available, the Performer mast with Ultra High Modulus Carbon (UHM). Available in 78, 85, 97 and 107cm sizes.
UHM what's it?
Premium, Ultra High Modulus carbon fibres are extremely stiff and will add rigidity to a mast. Increases of up to 40% stiffer in torsion and 26% stiffer in flex to be exact, compared to the Performer HM mast.
Key advantages of a more rigid mast:
• Better control due to an increased directness of feeling, no loss of rider input.
• Better pumping performance, effort = result!
• Improved control over the increase in forces of larger foil-spans
• Efficient, optimised foil shapes, reducing drag, giving increased glide

AFS Performer Mast
Glide, control and manoeuvrability
Product details
Product advantages
- Maximum glide
- Variable chord width for optimised fluid flow
- Narrow chord profile
- +/- Mast rake according to your practice
- Made In France
- HM or UHM construction
Which program for a Performer mast?
The Performer masts have been specifically developed to optimise your foil riding performance. If you are looking for more glide, more manoeuvrability while having light and rigid material, then these masts are made for you!
Which mast to choose?
On the Performer range 4 sizes of masts are available:
- 78 cm (1 degree negative rake) for wave /downwind practice
- 85 cm (neutral rake) for all-round versatile practice
- 97 cm (1 degree positive rake) for free ride / race practice
- 107 cm (1 degree positive rake) for a race practice
