Formuline is a brand new high performance downhaul line.

Formuline is a Spectra based line in a smooth 12-plait construction with reduced friction and has advanced slip characteristics, especially suitable for high-powered downhaul systems.

Formuline's unique construction keeps its round profile under very high loads, so it holds extremely well in extension cleats.

If you are looking for replacement rope for a North Power XT ratchet extension, try the Marlow Formula X. This is the same material as the Formuline with similar benefits, but it has a round weave which give the surface of the rope a better texture to grip in the teeth of the cog.

Incredible stuff. Such low friction I don't need to use a rig winch anymore for my racesails. It really is that effective. Save your back and use this stuff. It's a finer plait than the dyneema dinghy equivalents, so deforms less around the pulleys.
