Quote: Soon anyone will able to own the world’s fastest sail. Finian Maynard
On Dec 3rd, 2003 the Naish Stealth, piloted by Finian Maynard, convincingly set a new 10m2 class WSSC world record. For a limited time, the Naish technology that made history will be available to the public.
Performance:
The Formula sizes feature increased foot area profile, resulting in unequaled acceleration, key to advancing off the start line and winning when racing gets tight. In the smaller slalom sizes (5.0, 5.5, 6.0, and 6.5) we use RDM masts, dramatically improving rig efficiency.
Construction:
The single biggest advancement in the stealth line is the introduction of the Naish widesock. Totally wrinkle-free, this lightweight scrim sock is the answer to the giant leap in performance displayed by the 2005 prototypes. Minimalist patching saves weight throughout the sail, while high tech films and scrims keep the feel crisp and direct.
- Widesock design utilizing high tech Dimension Polyant scrim provides exceptionally streamlined leading edge.
- 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, and 6.5 rig on Naish firestick RDM masts for superior aerodynamics and a softer feel.
- Top quality USA made batten tubes provide the ultimate skeletal stability. Both 505 and stiffer 524 tubes used throughout the line.
- Newly designed padded tack fairing protects boards and ankles.
- Drop down tack mini batten brings sail to deck of board, effectively ‘closing the gap.’
- Tack stitching is protected by a new fold-back patching design, while other critical wear areas are protected by silicon rigging bumpers and Kevlar patching.
- Slim-Line batten pockets with an inside film layer, shed weight and ensure rotation and rigged symmetry.
- Ball cams can be shimmed to fit a variety of masts.
